Ok last night I went to this event by the name of Speak The Music. They have this guy IceBox on who is supposedly the 2007 West Coast Champion. Well after seeing him rip shit up it’s very obvious why!

So this guy seems to be on a whole nother level! I mean really have you ever seen anything like this? He creates bad ass beats with a laid out guitar as if it were some turntables and he loops, distorts and tweeks with his feet! You HAVEEEE to check his stuff out. I saw him last night at Speak The Music and bought both of his CD’s. I can’t even play the second one because the first one is too bad ass to take out. Here is a video but check him out.

Thursday, May 28th, 2009So I get this friend request on my OaklandMofo myspace and am like “wtf? Is that Where The Wild Things Are?” It’s friggen monsters! And they’re playing in Oakland Friday? At one of my favorite bar / clubs? Well shiiit count me in!
You gotta check these guys out. Yeah, I know they look a little strange with the crazy outfits and all but listen to their music here. They also do a pretty awesome live show! I recently saw them at The UpTown in Oakland.
