This is a free family & kid friendly daytime park party, w/ groovin’ under the sun & into the sunset, by the bay! Family, friends, kids,
>dogs (on leashes only!! Please… no matter how nice your dog is, or you/we could be ticketed by park rangers for a ‘dog off of leash citation’. Others also sometimes don’t want your dog to be invading their space by jumping, etc. Come out early to get a good parking spot & enjoy the day!

IMPORTANT INFO >>>>
Restrooms are close by. This is a fully permitted gathering & a beautiful location right by the water in Oakland! Dogs “on leashes only” if you bring them please (we can’t stress this enough!)
NO drinking alcohol in any form in the ‘parking lot’, or you/we will be ticketed by park police. Please no party flyers left on cars & pick up your cigarette buds & trash off the ground so we can get our deposit back & they will let us all come back again.
HARD LIQUOR’ IS NOT ALLOWED ANYWHERE IN THE PARK. So, if you must bring hard liquor PLEASE put it something else, &/or covered up & keep it in cups while consuming. Park police will ticket you/us if they see any hard alcohol in the park area, as they did last year to some folks! –>Beer and wine is OK in the park : ). Please clean up after yourselves & respect this awesome location!
We spend hundreds of dollars in permits, insurance, sound, dj’s, etc. so please try to donate anything you can when the donation jar comes around. This really helps us pay some of these very expensive fee’s back & continue to do these free parties for you guys. Not expected but very much appreciated! : )
Come out early & enjoy the sunshine!
~Mahalo & see you all under the sun!

DIRECTIONS >>>>>
From 880 fwy in Oakland – take the Hegenberger exit & drive (West) towards the Oakland airport about 1 mile.
Then take a right on Doolittle Drive & go about 1 mile,
then make a right ‘immediately before’ the
“MLK Shoreline Park/Shoreline Center sign” & drive into the park. We will be to your right once you drive into the parking lot & listen for the (((boom boom))). Parking is free! : ) FYI you must pass Swan Way, we are not at the Arrowhead Marsh Side of the park.

>>>> PARKING >>>>
You can also park in the boat launch parking lot as well, if our lot fills up. This is the other entrance closest to us (next to this one). We are on the lawn halfway between two lots.
If both lots are full, you may park on the
road (Doolittle Drive) but make sure your car is completely off the street/asphalt & not in the bike lane at all, or you will be ticketed.

Grooves In The Park Day Party BBQ Oakland

Saturday, July 5th, 2008

…ahhh yes, it’s that time again. We only do this 3-4 times a year in summer so join us under the sun at our fully permitted, beautiful park location right by the water while we celebrate our underground music, good people, good times and life. Please repost this and help us promote this party that has been growing strong for 8 years, now being enjoyed in the Bay for the 3rd time…and getting bigger and more fun every time we do it.

Feel free to bring your dogs (but on leash only or you could get sited by a ranger… and pick up after them). Feel free to bring bbq stuff, food, drinks, something to sit your buns on, family & good people. Please respect everything and everyone and bring your good vibez, that’s all we ask.

Come early and enjoy the day!
See your smiling faces there,

Much love!
